Privacy Policy
Last updated: March 28, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how CrumbStream ("we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, and shares information when you use our app, website, and related services (the "Services").
1. What We Collect
Account and profile information. If you create an account, we may collect information such as email address, account identifiers, and purchase status.
Meal input processing data. When you use AI-powered features, meal descriptions and related prompts may be sent to third-party AI processing providers to generate results.
App and device data. We may collect limited technical information (for example, crash diagnostics, performance data, and product usage signals) to operate, secure, debug, and improve the Services. Where possible, this information is processed in a way that is not linked to your personal food-log history.
2. What We Do Not Store as Personal Server History
We do not maintain a personal, user-linked server history of your food log entries.
3. How We Use Information
We use collected information to:
- provide and operate the Services;
- process purchases and manage access tiers;
- improve performance, reliability, and product quality;
- maintain security and prevent abuse;
- comply with legal obligations.
4. Legal Bases (EEA/UK and Similar Regions)
Where required, we process personal data on one or more legal bases:
- performance of a contract (providing the Services);
- legitimate interests (security, reliability, product improvement);
- compliance with legal obligations;
- consent, where required.
5. Sharing of Information
We may share information with:
- service providers that help us operate the Services (including AI processing providers, hosting, analytics, and diagnostics). Analytics and diagnostics are used to improve reliability and product quality and are not used to build a personal food-log history about you;
- platform providers for purchases and billing;
- legal authorities when required by law or to protect rights, safety, and security.
We do not sell personal data.
6. International Transfers
Because we operate globally, information may be processed in countries other than where you live. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards for cross-border data transfers.
7. Data Retention
We retain personal data only as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this Policy, including legal, security, and operational needs.
8. Your Rights
Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, object, or request portability of personal data, and to withdraw consent where processing is based on consent.
To exercise rights, contact us at contact@crumbstream.com.
9. California Privacy Rights
If California privacy law applies to your personal information, California residents may have rights including the right to know, access, correct, and delete personal information, and the right to opt out of certain data sharing practices.
We do not sell personal information.
California residents can submit privacy requests at contact@crumbstream.com.
10. Children
The Services are not directed to children under 13. If we learn we collected personal data from a child in violation of applicable law, we will take appropriate steps to delete it.
11. Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect information, but no method of transmission or storage is completely secure.
12. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the updated version and revise the "Last updated" date.
